Through the Australian Education International Section of the Australian Embassy in China and the Chinese Ministry of Education, the Australian government grant full scholarships, valued at up to AuD50,000 per year, to outstanding scholars from the western regions of China on a competitive basis. The scholarship awardees should possess the following qualities: a record of high academic achievement; Fluency in English; and be willing to return to China after completion of their studies to render services to the development of the western part of China.
